In the high chances this will become real in the coming months I figured a glimpse of a possiblity of what it'd look like would be cool to throw up. All of the assets created by me in Photoshop.

By the way, just came back from seeing it and I friggin' loved it.

While I definitely love the smooth, clean look of this one, as it certainly suits the majesty of a Criterion cover, I think it would be unlikely for Fincher to buck the trend of withholding his name from the cover of his DVDs (see all previous special editions, including 'Curious Case').

Very true, although many Criterion DVDs feature a similar marking on them (Kurosawa, Jarmusch, and Anderson to name a couple.) I believe there is a non-special edition printing of "Se7en" where it reads "A David Fincher Film" but I'm not positive. However on the "Curious Case" DVD is a "Director Approved" sticker which has his name and signature on it which is almost a half-way point, at most I'd expect the same to follow on the cover if not the subtitle.
